Taking cognisance of the fact that engineering is the nerve centre of technology, the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SEET) of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ondo state, Nigeria has as its mission the engendering, preservation, transmission and advancement of engineering and engineering technology. A key medium of achieving this objective is through its publication: Federal University of Technology, Akure Journal of Engineering and Engineering Technology (FUTAJEET).
FUTAJEET is a publisher of open access peer-reviewed journal with the aim to furnish researchers and students with top quality, up-to-date research outputs stemming out from original, need—driven, practical creative multidisciplinary, innovative technological research endeavours in all aspects of engineering and related applied sciences from any part of the world.
A new editorial board which comprises of carefully chosen scholars in different engineering ﬁelds from FUTA, other universities in Nigeria and different parts of the world has been put in place with a view to repositioning the journal to world-class status
We have been able to make a successful leap by obtaining adequate permissions to publish online while previous volumes and the new issues are being made available online concurrently for wider circulation. We intend to continue in our effort to completely upgrade FUTAJEET to World-class status that befits it.
Authors are expected to adhere to ontological ethical values stemming from honesty of purpose rather than teleological ethical values arising from the end justiﬁes the means stance, "life is an act of drawing without an eraser" - John w Gardener.
